Best NBA Team

I'm a huge Laker fan, but the best team in the league is unquestionably the Pistons right now. This year's Pistons are way better than the championship team of two years ago. They've retained all they learned under Larry Brown on defense, and Flip has brought an actual efficient offense to the team. Very dangerous combo, obviously. The only way I see them not winning the title this year is if they start getting a few injuries. Even though they are the best team, they aren't a very deep team. They are really depending on that very strong starting five. As long as they keep healthy, they'll win the title.

the mavericks are 3-0 or 4-0 againt them in the preason + regular season this year....so what does that say?

This answer only applies if the question is "Which team has Detroit beaten by 15 points twice this year?".

Who cares about the regular season. The Spurs will beat them again in the playoffs. The Spurs start to play their best ball in the spring, and this year will be no different.

nothing because the Pistons can take any team in a 7 game series.

The Pistons also lost 4 out of 8 games in the preseason. Meanwhile, they are 30-5 in the regular season.

Detroit is the class of the NBA right now. The Spurs are right up there. Dallas is not far off and they did beat Detroit heads-up early in the season.

I would take Detroit over Dallas in a 7-game series.

Hopefully we will find out. The Spurs are a very good team, but Detroit just looks special this year.
