Best national anthem

I like America's. It has a lot of gusto and has a great finish. Better than most national anthems that are so subdued
 
Russia's is very nice from what I remember.

I've heard Canada's and the US's too many times to really like them anymore at this point.
 
Russia's is the most rousing/inspiring. I have no idea what the words are, but that Music just seems to make me want to die for the Mother Country and I'm not even Russian! lol

Being Canadian, of course I prefer the Canadian anthem. The lyrics seem a reasonable summation of the nation and some of its' Values. Slightly sexist, but nothing is perfect.

The Star Spangled Banner is an interesting anthem. My knowledge of lyrics in Anthems is very limited, but the SSB stands out as unique in that it's a telling of a historical Event. Not just that, but the Event didn't even occur at its' Founding, but was a pivotal point in US history. Undoubtedly a Propaganda piece at the time, meant to inspire/encourage.
 
If Russia's national anthem is so awesome, incredible, and inspiring, 99% of their football(soccer) players wouldn't be chewing gum while it was playing.

and yeah, russian really is my favorite but since I was born in the USSR it becomes biased, so for anyone else how about exclude your own countrys anthem?
 
german for sure. written by Joseph Haydn, and best played by a bunch of cello's harmonizing with one another.
