I use WMP right now and it keeps doing crazy things (like it will start a song for 3 secs...then stop...then restart...) and I'm hating it. What programs do you guys use? I'm slowing trying to move away from anything windows...except OS, of course.

Firefox/Opera > Windows Explorer
AIM > Windows Messenger
*** > WMP?

People will recommend all kinds of crap, but in my experience Winamp is still champ.

WinAmp is awesome, but I like iTunes better because the AudioScrobbler pluging ALWAYS works, unlike with WinAmp and WMP. Plus I like the Party Shuffle mode and the quickness of iTunes.

Ok. My friend also uses WinAmp, I'll give that a look. Does WinAmp only play songs, or does it play movies too?

Itunes has a nice interface but it crashes and hangs up if you have a large playlist (Mine is over 4000 songs). Winamp never gives me any problems.

I tried alot and iTunes was the best for me.
Oh, and get the FoxyTunes extension for FireFox. It lets you control 1 of 16 players from the bottom of the browser.

Yup... 5 and I think 3 do out of the box, but you'll have to get plugins for 2.xx.

Right now I'm using foobar2000 for MP3s and Winamp 5 for everything else, but I'm considering getting rid of foobar (it is a good audio player, though).
