that is SO 1998 :)

i'm using a logitech optical mouseman wheel.

Opticals just don't cut it for me :( Maybe in another couple of gens. Maybe it's just my playstyle.

I love the Razer because you can adjust on the fly, it's sweet. Like in DOD I use one setting for normal guns, but when I deploy a machine gun I just adjust the speed up so it moves just as fast as a regular gun. Don't really consider that cheating...

I really like how the ball is at the back of the mouse rather than the middle, because I hold it at a real odd angle.

I kinda hold the mouse up when I play, and the LEDs in the opticals quit reading but the ball hangs down far enough (tee hee).

I used to use a Logitech Mouseman and think it's one of the best mice also. So would definately go with the Logitech mouseman optical if I liked opticals :)

Old gen mouses may not cut it, but my gaming mouse is THE BEST MOUSE EVER. i mean, it totally kicks the sh|t out of ANY ball mouse. ANY

I'd love to put it up against a boomslang, see how it fairs

yup, i use teflon strips from everglide.com:p figured might as well since i got my pad there, use a normal mouseman ifeel optical for games, works fine andi get ffback:) best implimentation example would probably be mohaa. do furniture cleaners etc damage teflon tape? i tried wiping the pad with armor all, effects don't last long enough to bother though.

brunopuntz, u ever try the dual optical logitech? might be the one for u if you move really fast i guess.

the Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 (silver, right handed)/Microsoft Intellimouse Optical 3.0 (white, ambidextrous) both track much better than the logitech duals....i find the duals to be pretty ineffective on most surfaces.
