Best mousepad

I'm very close to picking up a Razer eXactmat, but before I do I wondered if anyone had any opinions on a mopusepad that might be better. The exactmat seemed to be the best combination of price/quality I could find. Any other opinions?

I used to have a ratzpad. It was great until my brother dropped something on it and ripped it while breaking my mouse. Now i dont have a mousepad 😛

I have heard of something called "steelpad" do not really know much about it except that hardcore gamers use it. It is like 20.00.

my func has always been great, but it's rubber mat has become warped (you can only notice this if you unseat the pad though) and the pad tends to "stain" if that makes any sense. spots have shown up on both surfaces over the years (i'd say I've had it 2 years or so). Dont think they affect performance though.

ratpads and everglides warp after just 2 years of use. those CS Hyde pads are better IMO. cant comment on other pads since i have no experience with any of those 🙁

i got the coolest mousepad my bro made for me a big block of solid black granite with the edges beveled! bawhahah

Best pad used by alot of pro gamers in europe is http://www.icemat.com/

Another pad thats very solid and still used widely is the ALLSOP cloth pad.

I personally use Everglide giganta (pledged down) and an ALLSOP

i've been through quite a few mousepads.

1. cloth pads - before i heard about "gaming mousepads" i used these, but i would never go back to these again. i even replaced my cloth mousepad at work and people who try it want it.
2. 3m mousing surface - it's made for precision, so not good for gaming. it actually produces a lot of friction, which i guess slows down the mouse for control. it's also very small and it slides around the desk.
3. everglide attack pad - first gaming mouse pad i ever got, i loved the surface because it made the mouse just glide across it. but it was way too small. i used an everglide giganta once but it doesnt beat what i have now.
4. original ratpadz - same great material as the everglide, much bigger surface. but the height made it painful to use after hours of usage.
5. func surface 1030 - the one i've been using for 3 years now. the material is great, the height and size is perfect. there's 2 sides, but i only use the rough side.

i have also tried teflon pads made for mouse feet, but they're pretty much useless. the only maintenance i do on the func 1030 is clean it with soapy water and spray it with Pledge, and it's good as new.

all those mouse pads weren't cheap, so i hope you'll learn from my experiences. the func is $20 but it's worth it.

func 1030

Pros:
-Two textures to choose from
-Mouse glides over very smoothly
-Rubber base stays in place
-Not too big, not too small
-Mouse clip works very well
-Good looking tin case
-Excellent quality
-Reasonably priced

Cons:
-Could be cheaper if they didn't include the case

I use this with my Logitech MX510 mouse and teflon mouse feet tape. This combo is awesome, my mouse glides over the pad like it's ice. I think the pad is worth the every cent.
