Yeah, yeah, I know that you don't need a mouse pad with optical mouse. However, my brother's Inland optical mouse seems sooooo much smoother with a mouse pad. I'm looking at the 3M pad since I'm gonna get something at Staples anyways. Any suggestions? Besides el cheap pad?

Thanks
Dan

I use the caselogic gel mouse pad with my ms optical - the pad is pretty standard, but the gel is really comfy

If you're grabbing the 3M pad, get the one with the wrist rest. I prefer this one as compared to the regular 3M pads b/c they are less susceptible to bending and creasing.

There are other pads on the market like the Everglide cutting board, RatPadz, and the newest one, the sUrface 1030. I got the earlier 3M PMS w/o wrist rest b/c it was just there at Office Depot and I needed a better mouse pad than the worn cloth on rubber one I was using for 4 years.

Hmmm, I don't even use a mouse pad with my Explorer mouse, but I'm thinking of getting one with a wrist rest just because it's starting to get a little uncomfortable.

I use the ratpad, its great with my explorer. With the semi-high sensitivity that i use, i never get skips or errata. Highly recommended and its cheaper than the everglides too.

The ratpad is my homey. Just make sure you get an all black one (or one having a dark logo as bright colors can fool the optical eye and cause skipping).

I'm using an Everglide black original mousing surface with my Explorer and it ROCKS.

I use a cloth mouspad *shudder* with my Intelle eye mouse. I used to have an everglide but i don't really see the reason to have something that makes it more precise and cleaner because with the laser it doesn't get dirty and is precise on any surface. And besides its more comfy than a plastic mouse pad;)
