We’re currently investigating an issue related to the forum theme and styling that is impacting page layout and visual formatting. The problem has been identified, and we are actively working on a resolution. There is no impact to user data or functionality, this is strictly a front-end display issue. I'd recommend importing with ProRes, it's visually lossless and will work with Final Cut Pro. Do you have FCP on your laptop or are you looking for something else? You can use Apple's Firewire SDK to import footage, follow part of the HV20 import guide here:
Well, if you have FCP, can't ou just fire it up with the cable hooked up and import it straight in to FCP? That's kinda what I do... Well, it's exactly what I do, but anyways...

at the time of install i only had FCP on the hackitosh that does not have firewire but i ended installing FCP on my macbook then transferring files between
