Im a big gamer and i need the best monitor, i heard bad things about lcds so im not getting one, im buying a new computer and it only comes with lcds so i guess i have to buy from somewhere else.

What is the best monitor, dont get a really expensive one. Also do CRTs support DVI?

ROFL wow.....yes!!!! Your gfx card will support any monitor. Dont worry just get what you want, i wouldnt suggest the 940b over the VX2025WM tho.

Anyway, you probably want to shoot for the Viewsonic VX2025WM since it's basicaly the same panel that the NEC has just without all the other extra bells and whistles (and it cost a lot less too=good).

The next step up would be the more expensive 2405fpw from Dell. Probably overkill though and it'll really stress out your cards a lot more (not to mention overload only 256mb of vram)

Don't go for a 5:4 screen. Try and shoot for a widescreen like the viewsonic (VX2025WM). I have the same video cards that you're getting. 7900GT's in SLI. You don't need to say dual 256mb Nvidia Geforce (TM) 7900GT SLI Enabled DVI Dual Like...Blah blah blah.

All you got to say is 7900Gt's in SLI, or Dual 7900GT's and I'm sure we can figure out what your talking about 😛

A modern LCD (especally widescreen) would probably be better.
 
The Sony FW900 is the king of gaming monitors. It can display a whole range of resolutions between 640x480 to 2304x1440 all native with no scaling. It has virtually flawless colors and contrast.
