I have a pair of 19" Acer Monitors. They're great for workstation stuff, but not big enough for good visibility in the Simulator. I got a flight yoke setup and have rudder pedals coming today. I'd like to have a monitor centered behind the yoke and go all out.
My question though, should I be looking at TVs? My video card currently can only do 1080p without smoking, but that's the upward limitation of most 32" TVs. I'm thinking about going with a $150-200 1080p TV and then repurposing it for TV watching in a year or two.
My concern isn't resolution as long as it can do 1080...I'm more concerned with finding one above 60hz that doesn't cap my frame rate. I doubt I'll be above 60hz, but certainly don't want to throttle the frames at the display. Any recommendations on whether or not Flight Sim 2020 will work well with a 32" TV?
FWIW, my current video card is the meager Gigabyte nVidia 1660 Super ($220 is what I paid and it performs decent enough....just wasn't worth the $200+ markup for the slight performance increase since I bought it before the 3000 series was out).
