Hi, I have been shopping for monitors lately and was wondering what you guys thought was the bets monitor for under $300, my main concerns are size and resolution, I have plenty of space so I dont care about flat panel or anything like that (and with $300 a doubt if i would find any flat panel I wanted anyway) Locally the only place to buy monitors is walmart and they have a 19" for $249 which I was thinking about since I wouldnt have to pay shipping, Any advice?
Thanks

I highly recommend you the Samsung SyncMaster 900NF... but that one is like 390$US... for $/quality, nothing beats the Samsung SyncMaster 950p... it costs 360$CND, so I guess it'd be like 250$US... check it out... it has excellent reviews and I've been using one for over a year now... awesome monitor...

Shnak

If your concerned about price look in the gateway and dell stores and search for the samsung 950p.

otherwise get a monitor with a triniton tube in it.

For $300 I would recommend:

1) Samsung SyncMaster 570v for $284 after rebate, this is a very nice flat panel. Not recommended if you're a heavy gamer.
2) Just about any Samsung SyncMaster 19" monitor such as the 900NF, 955DF, or 950P. The question is where to buy it and get the lowest price? Find a monitor at the NECXDirect.com and I can give you a $35 off $299 coupon code (PM me) plus some monitors offer rebates such as the Samsung SyncMaster 955DF has a $40 rebate. Another possibility is to buy your monitor from Dell and save 5% off with free shipping.

Any Samsung 19" monitor from NECXDirect.com or Dell.com should be more than adequate for your needs.
