Best mobo for dual XP 1900s?

Hi folks, just curious on your thoughts of mobo's for running dual XP 1900's? I'm not brave
enough to attempt unlocking the chips right now, but would like to overclock in the BIOS.

The three boards I've been looking at are:

MSI K7D Master (MS-6501 6501-010) AMD760MPZX Dual Athlon 266MHz USB 2.0 AGP Pro Socket A ATX MOTHERBOARD

Asus AMD 762 Chipset ATX Motherboard Model A7M266D

and the

TYAN MPX (S2466N) AMD-760 MPX AMD Athlon MP DDR PC2100 ECC Socket A ATX MOTHERBOARD

I'm not concerned with RAID, XP Pro, or even intensive gaming, just a good 1900+ system I can use to
crunch away with in distributed computing. Also, the mobo would need to be a good Linux
board...

Any recommendations? Or is there a board out there in this price range ($180-$220) that I'm missing
and might be better? I know these are still pretty new, but was wondering if anyone has already had
a wonderful experience, perhaps, with one or the other...

Many thanks,

TNOguy (Van)

Awwww please guys give me a recommendation please? I know we are in a phase
where the best boards for dual AMDs are yet to be seen, and I know about the
various USB problems, etc, but for the selection right now of the boards that will
run the XP's in dual just fine, not the MP's, I would really appreciate a recommendation.

Eight other guys who are building dual systems along with me would also really
appreciate it, because they are going to be buying what I recommend, and right now
I don't know what to recommend, and was hoping my expert friends here at AT would
have some words of wisdom. I know some of you must, please please reply?

Many thanks 🙂

Well if you don't need 64 bit/66 MHz PCI slots (for SCSI RAID or something) go with the Tyan Tiger MP 2460, because it gives you a lot more usable PCI slots. All the MPX boards have broken USB, so they give you a USB PCI card. The MPX boards have 2 64/66 PCI slots whichare unusable for most things (although the ASUS USB card can go in it, not sure about the Tyan MPX and the MSI one.)

The best site for information on this is 2cpu.com. Go into the forums there.

I'm happy with my ASUS A7M266D. My Tiger MPs, each has killed a stick of Crucial memory🙁
