I just got an IQYHA...but my psu is limiting my overclock big time so the jury is still out on this one.

I get reboots at 12 x 200 anytime I try and load the processor. I'm prime stable for 6 hours so far at 11 x 200. My PSU is only pushing 12 amps on the 12v rail, so I'm assuming that's the problem. I have a True 480 on the way, so I'll be sure and update when I can play with it some more,

Just found out that only the Mobile 2400+ have 35Watt ratings. The only stepping I know is: FJQ4C

I heard the "I" steppings are better overclockers...

I've got a mobile 2400+ coming in a few days...what's this 35 Watt thing?

you got me there I havent seen any 35w ones..only 45w parts... 35w would be nice especially if they had an even lower vcore :p

hmm, a search turns up this....not the most authoritative of sources, but very interesting.

i haven't voted but i actually have an IQZFA so far not too bad... 2550 @ 1.85 volts all on air...

as for the 35w vs 45w thing this is the low down on it...

There are some very rare 2400+ mobile bartons floating around that output 35w's and others that put out 45w's...

most mobile steppings start with something like...

AXMG2X00 (X being either 4,5, or 6) followed by FQQ4C

The second letter in the last set of numbers/letters represent which wattage you have...

if it's a "J" like someone stated before then its a 35w version...
if it's a "Q" then it's a 45w version.

35w ones are hard to come by... though there seem to be a few european vendors that carry these but do not ship to the states...

hope that helps

The other steppings you forgot to mention were the IQXFA and IQYFA steppings, which were the earliest and generally best steppings for overclocking that these mobiles came with. I had an IQXFA, but it was a dud, so I was not impressed. I've never seen a bad IQYFA though. Most of the chips I went through were IQYHA's, which were solid. My current 2600+, which I think I will keep, is an AQYHA, and is quite possibly the best one I've gotten with amazing headroom (2.6 air cooling w/1.85v)...of course, it's the only 2600+ I've gotten, and I don't think it fair to compare it to my 2500+s, so I'll give my vote to the IQYHA stepping.

Just got an IQYHA here, but stupid me also got a Chaintech 7NIF2 (needs to be mATX) mobo, which has no OCing ability. If you could spare a minute, I'd appreciate any suggestions for good OCing mATX motherboards...onboard audio/video not required, just good quality and good OC.

Maybe then I report something useful :)

I've noticed on the two IQYHA's I have everything is smooth sailing with low Vcore (less than 1.8) up to about 2600MHZ. Then for even an extra 100 MHZ they require a sh1tload more Vcore like 1.95-2.0. Weird.

that's very interesting...
i have a 2600+ Mobile... been playing with it a few days now...

yesterday, it wouldn't go stable @ 1.9 volts or 1.95 volts for 2600 mhz...

today... backed voltage down to 1.85 volts and ran prime for 9 hours @ 2550 mhz and no errors...

and now, i'm running 1.85 volts and 2600 mhz and no errors yet...

really strange i tell ya...

anyway, i'm gonna try out a 2500+ mobile now and see if it'll do any better than this :)
