Best Mid-Tower CPU Cooling Fan ?

As beautiful as the Blue Orb II is, it didn't fit. Too wide. I needed another inch or
so to clear the PSU.

My case is this ---> Rosewill

I just can't tell from the photos if some of these CPU coolers are too tall or wide.

I was considering the Tuniqs, Noctua, and, above all, the Zalman 9500 (92mm fan).

Recommendations, opinions, please ?

Specs: E6600
Mobo: Abit Fatality FP-1N9

Measure the distance from the center of the CPU socket to the nearest point on the PSU and let us know what you get.

I'd say you should have no problem with The Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
The mounting can be a bit finicky but you can't get better for anywhere near that price.
If you just have to pay more, look at the Zalman CNPS-7700AlCu. The Zalman has an under 3" radius so unless your PSU overhangs your mobo, it should fit. You'll also need the CS-1 bracket for a socket 775 processor. I might have recommended the Fatal1ty version but you don't get much for the added cost and weight of the all copper unit. If you don't have at least 68mm in your radius measurement, you may need the CNPS-7000AlCu instead...

In that Rosewill, you might as well use the stock cooler as your case does not have enough airflow to make efficient use of a large cooler. 80mm rear exhaust and no blowhole? You have got to be kidding. That cheap PSU better suck air like a vacuum. Find a case with the bare minimum of dual 120mm fans (intake and exhaust) to move enough air to justify purchasing the coolers you have in mind. Otherwise, your just stirring up the already warm air in your case.

As for coolers, go with the Tuniq or a Thermalright like the Ultra 120. The Zalmans (including the 9700) are more noisy and perform inferior to the Tuniq and the Ultra 120. But if looks matter more than performance... then go for the twinkly blue lights.
