What is the best matx P4 board out? I can't seem to find any using the 845PE or newer sis 655 chipsets. Any other chipsets worth considering?

I'm looking to use this on a 2.4 or higher P4 and would like some oc ability.

Thanks.

Best chipset you'd be able to find would probably be the 845GE. Though you'd have FSB adjustments you probably won't find any Vcore. Check Aopen. They often list mATX boards using the best chipsets without integrated graphics, just that you can't find any for sale anywhere.

Thanks!

I found this MSI 845GEM.

Why would I not be able to find vcore adjustments?

MSI claims their fuzzy logic 4 software will allow us to manipulate the vcore in windows, but I don't trust the manual which is written for multiple models. Anybody have any experience with this?

Thanks.

Giga-Byte also has MATX board with both the 845PE and 845GE.... they're called something like 8GEMT and 8PEMT (more letters before and after)!!

Anyone knows of a good desktop matx case to go with it?? I've been looking at the Enlight EN-7180 and it seems cool!

Couple of posts down here: thread

I personally like the foxconn, but I plan on integrating the board into a pocket in my SUV. Hopefully it will fit, and I wont need a case.

I just got an Asus P4B533-VM and I absolutely love this board. FSB and VCORE adjustments and all, and stable too. I have a P4m so I am running it currently at 2.4 (12x200).

Onboard sound, video, etc., and also onboard Intel 10/100 Pro. If you have any other questions, feel free to PM me.

I got the 845GEM today. I'm using it to type this message.

The manual lied. The fuzzy logic software is crap. It won't let me change the vcore or multiplier on this board. The bios only lets you change the fsb, but I have yet to experiment with this.

I may return it for one of the above mentioned alternatives. Not sure if I want to waste money on shipping it back. It may be ok for my application.
