looking for some opinions on this.

I work on Sundays. it's an increadibly boring day and I usually sit here staring at the wall. what I've been thinking of doing, though, is bringing in a bunch of television shows from my pvr to watch at work. I can't really think of a convenient way to get them from my home pc to my work pc, though. we'd be looking at about 10 gigs worth of data, with the average file being about 2 gigs in size.

burning them to dvd's is an option, but it's not really ideal due to the time it takes to burn them (come sunday morning, I'm usually rushing around and running super late as it is :p) and it seems kinda wasteful as well. I also have an external hard drive, but it's kind of a pain to lug all the power/usb cables around with me.

What about getting another set of cables for the external harddrive and leaving them at work?

You could also go for a usb enclosure for a laptop drive, either assembled or one that you assemble.

Don't have a hdd-based DAP? If you're thinking of getting one anyway it'll do double-duty if it follows universal mass storage... apple, iriver, iaudio, neuros and archos players do iirc, off the top of my head.
