I uploaded it to my server and thought I'd share it, but I suppose the mods will get mad, so no link.

But open up winmx/kazaalite/edonkey/anything and get it. If doubt a better cover of that song exists.


Also, "The Unforgiven" cover is also really really good. :thumbsup:
 
I have Apocalyptica, it's pretty cool then after awhile you just want metallica doing the classic speed metal.

To bad there not doing it now.
 
I would think that covering any song by Metallica would suck automatically, regardless of how well the band covering it did it. It's kinda like trying to make a piece of excrement tasty, no matter what kinds of spices/seasonings/dressings/etc. you put on it, it's still going to be a piece of sh|t

Listen to it before you are going to diss it. It's a very good song to "unwind" to. I enjoy it, and am not a huge fan of Metallica myself.
 
Yeah, it's pretty cool, but I like their covers of Refuse Resist, Domination, Inquisition Symphony and of course, Hall of the Mountain King, much better.

You might want to point out to those that dont know Apocalyptica, that they are covering Metallica songs using nothing but 4 cellos.... and it manages to sound almost better than the original! :shocked:

I never said you did. I am just saying you could hate Metallica, wish every member of the band died, and still like this song.

Look at "Mad World". The Tears for Fears version is horrible generic 80's sounding crap. The cover by Gary Jules turned it into a decent song.

All I am saying is give it a shot. The worst that can happen is you are right and you think it sucks. But at least you tried it.
 
Hmm, Winamp just decided to play their cover of For Whom the Bell Tolls after I replied. That's a sweet song too B)
 
I've seen part of their concert in Munich... it's kinda wild actually watching them play, headbanging all the while.
 
I have this CD that I got from someone back in college. I didn't get the cover or anything, just the disk itself. It's all black and has black lettering around the outside. I only noticed the lettering when it shimmered at different angles. It says something about being a tribute to Metallica. It's like Metallica and techno. It rocks.
