Hey guys,
I just ordered an ABIT bh7 motherboard with an intel p4 2.4b processor and want to push this chip as far as I can with the standard cooler- what's a good DDR memory to use with it? I want a total of 512mb - am I better going with 2x256's? Also, should I go with PC3200 or faster memory? My current chips (in my athlon rig) are Samsung M3 68L3223DTL chips (I believe that they are pc2100 chips)- is it fair to say that this will be a major bottleneck or should I just stick with them? Thanks!

Since you aren't using a Dual-Channel Chipset, you'd be better off with a single 512MB stick of Corsair DDR433.
Using the 3:4 memory ratio, you would get to 162FSB:216MEM fairly easily (CPU would be at 2.92Ghz).

I just ordered a similar setup with a stick of Corsair XMS 512mb 270011PT. This will be my first attempt at overclocking, so would love to see what settings you have success with.

Hey,
I just canceled my order- the gigabyte sis655 board seems too intriguing to pass up! I will go with the cosair ram (as soon as I can afford it)- everyone seems to recommend it and the price seems fair enough
