That is big $$ though...and is it truly worth that to buy it over the Corsair? I'm even more confused now looking at the performance charts.

Thanks! :)

Do the NF7-S boards still have a problem w/ 2x512 memory? There is a sticky thread about that somewhere and I thought it was still unresolved...something to do the not having a cpc(?) option in the bios?

Has that been resolved?

because it would make my board choice much easier.

I don't know, but I'm running 2 512mb PC3200 sticks of memory on my new NF7-S with no problems whatsoever.

RAM prices are out of control. I added the perf chart so you can decide whether or not the performance gains will justify the added cost of better ram. Unless you have unlimited budget, you are going to have to draw the line somewhere.

I just got a 1gb dual channel kit of mushkin level 1 for my NF7-S. I'm running it with CPC on, at 217 FSB, 2-2-3-7 with 2.9V. Memtest86 and prime95 are good. I havn't tried any higher because I'm at my optimal FSB/multi combo.

As far as I can tell, this is still a problem with the NF7-S boards.

Sickbeast---are you running 2 sticks of 512? The NF7-S does not have a problem hitting higher than 200mhz FSB with 256mb sticks, only the 512mb sticks in dual channel.

I'd go Mushkin, Corsair, or OCZ which ever is cheapest. leaning towards Mushkin though

That's bunk. I have two sticks of Geil Value PC3200 512MB in dual channel running at 230 MHz with no problems in my NF7-S. I can take a screen shot tomorrow of memtest86+ running at least 10 passes with no errors if requested.

No need for a screen shot, just passing some information that may be helpful. Everyone may have a different experience using the same or different hardware. In my personal experience, I cant get anything over 205mhz stable with anywhere close to decent timings. Even with really loose timings, I cant complete Prime95 past 2.5 hours. Could be my memory, only using Kingston KHX3200AK2/1G @2-3-2-6.

Some versions of HyperX have trouble with high FSB in the NF7, while others work great. The KHX3200 has worked very well for me, but the KHX3200A has not.
