Just wanted some opinions on which is the best overclocking memory on a K8N Neo2 Platinum.

Also, what is the best bios revision for an overclock?

Right now, I am running 1.5B1, and whenever I try to change the ht mult, it freezes before I even see the choices.

From what I have seen, OCZ Platinum Rev2 DDR400 performs the best. I think an article on the Anandtech main pages reviewed a load of RAM, and that came out best - It was also used to OC a Winchester 3000+ to 2610MHz with that motherboard.

I'm running my Corsair 3200XLPT @ 273Mhz with 2.5-3-3-6 timings.
Bios 1.5B1? Where did you get that from, as far as I know 1.4 is the lastest.

As to changing the HTT value, this is a bios bug or something. Instead of hitting enter to get a menu of choices, use the + and - keys to change.

EDIT:
One more thing.

Bunnn, please don't hijack other peoples threads. Go start your own.

I am running that as well at 260 2.5-3-3-7 1T 2.75 currently. Very stable & seems like there is still a bit more speed to be gained, but I am still tinkering. So far I am very happy with the memory, pretty hard to beat at that price point.

Oh, bios is 1.5b

I have GSkills

1 stick will do 290 1:1 w/ 2.5,4,4,8 and did 320 1:1 3,4,4,8 form my limited testing///It could have done more. All 1t

However the other stick will not do as good. Thinking about RMAing it. It will beeep code me if it is in slot 1, but seems to run fine in slot 2, though I am only running 166 divider at 330fsb. Yeah it is nice but that makes it just below the rated 550ddr it says it can do 2.5,3,3,7...which it wont do at 275fsb 1:1...

Definitely the ram and the one stick more importantly....

themoney I spent!! Oh yeah it is going back!!!

For bitchin proof I want to run it through memtest at 275 1:1 with both sticks and show errors, and run it solo with bad stick and find the point in which it does error and take a dig pic of the screen and send it to GSkill's tech support....

Okay, question about my overclock right now

My settings
HT = 4x
FSB = 250
CPU Mult = 10
CPU Volt = 1.55 + 5.0%
Memory Voltage = 2.75

Ram at 2.5, 3, 3, 10, 1T
Max MemClock at 133

Any suggestions to get a higher FSB

I think my RAM is holding me back....might pick up some of that Patriot RAM, all i've heard is good things.

i dont know about your corsiar, but ive ran my ram at 2.85v, highest our mobo can go. it passed memtest fine. 2.85 isnt a ton of voltage, your ram should handle it. download memtest86, run it till 800%, and if it passes w/ no errors you are good to go.
also, lower your HTT multiplier to 3x if you plan to go over 250FSB. your ram should NOT be holding you back at all, its running pretty damn slow at 133. also, your vcore looks a bit high. keep an eye on your temps.

temps are 35-40 idle, about 48 load, it's staying fairly cool, I'll try memtest though thanks.

Yes, the guilty is in something else, as your ram is way underclocked.

Read some more thread and see if you are missing something...

I've seen some people run 3000+ @2700 with default vcore, while others have a hard time passing @2500 with lots of vcore...

I have a 3200 Winchester running at 250x10 1:1 with RAM

512x2 Geil Ultra PC4000

RAM isnt even overclocked, but im sure it could be if my CPU could go higher.
timings are as advertised, 2.5-4-4-7

1024 kit runs about 215 on the egg.
