Best media software?

While I've always been a fan of itunes and media center (I'm sure that made some people reading this faint) I've recently had a large addition of avis and a couple other formats added to my library. As a result I can't use just itunes and I don't really care for the format of media center audio. So the question is, which software is the best at organization and playback. Pretty simply question I hope. Blu-Ray playback would be a plus.

Look into Media Monkey. I think it can do most of what you need.

The issue i have with media monkey is that Im huge when it comes to aestetics. Media monkey is great but i feel its so cluttered and lacks the sweet finish of some of the others. Maybe i should have mentioned what in my original post 😛

I want something that combines all elements of power and beauty. It needs to easily do all the media holding/playing etc as well as be extremely pleasing to the eye. I just like the way itunes looks and for movies media player does great.

is this for a stand alone machine or just a program on your PC?
If stand alone XBMC is your way to go.

by far the best audio/video manager. they have a free version that only does audio stuff- www.jrmediajukebox.com but the mediacenter version has all the mp3 encoders and theater view, which is pretty awesome. it absolutely smokes itunes out of the water. no comparison.

I know its super subject but I don't like the way kmplayer looks.

nah i cant use this. The video quality is horrible compared to media center

Give Windows Media Player a try. Combined with a codec pack (CCCP, k-lite), it should play anything you need.

What formats have you added?

Media Player works but i dont really care for the way they handle audio. Maybe ill f around with the settings a little to make it look better but i prefer itunes for audio. I may just end up staying with the two i use.
