so...my oldest bro is gettin married on sat and tonite i have to do the best man speech at the rehersal....ive got some ideas down but i was just wondering if anyone had some tips...
chrisms: i'm gonna be honest, i dont do weddings, never been to one, dont know anything about them, all i know is i was told to stand up at some point during the regersal dinner and give a speech or something about my bro the new wife and how great life will be...
jh:wtf...i have nothing to cry over...im just gonna make some jokes about how he used to beat me up then tell everyone how good his wifey is...lol
I'll be honest, I've never done a rehersal. But if you're going as far as doing the actual speech then I think you might as well just do the wedding.. what is the point?
Anyway just say something that relates to their relationship. How he used to build model airplanes all day before she came along or something like that. It's really simple and nobody expects much.
be serious....don't makem a bunch of jokes, and especially don't insult anyone or bring up any unsavory topics. basically wish them a lifetime of happiness and speak about how much you love your brother and his importance in your life. comment about his wife in a positive manner.
again, don't be an ass and make a big joke or try to get the spotlight on you....this is NOT your night.
smooz up to the bride... how great she is for him..all that crap. now if you dont like her... leave it out. 🙂 ive given 2 best man speeches and havent been slapped for it yet. 🙂
