Our wonderful home office Mac Mini is serving our needs very nicely, but we haven't used iChat video chatting with the relatives since tracking down our monitor's built in webcam drivers seems impossible. What's a good, popular webcam that's relatively painless to install on Lion? Thanks!
 
I got Dynex DX-WEB1C webcams for everyone in my family. Cheap, work OOTB, look decent. I use Snow Leopard fwiw.
 
Most USB webcams work without even needing a driver. Just to be safe, buy one that says it's Mac-compatible. A lot of the webcams that don't say it are also compatible, but you can never be sure.
