If those cars weren't so old now I would probably get one. I just don't want to deal with maintance problems. But I always said that was probably one of the best looking cars I've ever seen.

My FC has treated me great for the 1year+ i've owned it...bought it at 85k miles, put on 10k or so...not all rotaries are unreliable

Man.... Mazda hit the mark with that car, they didn't do anything wrong with the design of the FD....

I swear, it must be one of the most perfectly designed cars of the 90's. It still looks modern today. It makes the RX-8 look like total sh!t

I hate the look of the new RX-8.

yep, gorgeous...although I don't know if I could choose between a tastefully done Supra and FD RX-7.

Mazda sure knew what they were doing with that car. Who designed it and where is he/she working now?

That car is too nice to drive...a shame really...

damn...I can't believe I said that...
What did you just say?

ignore him, he doesnt know what a true car is.

it may "look" like it might be rice, but that car is pretty damn stock on the outside. and has way more power than any vehicle needs.

That thing looks freaking sweet save for that massive fart cannon on the back.

The reliability issue was the turbo IIRC. That was the issue buying used for projects that I heard from a guy who owned a couple.

Considering Mazda uses really low boost on the rotary, 20psi might go through apex seals a wee bit faster than every 100k. ;)

Still one of my top ten cars I wished I had owned (for those keeping score - 1 out of 10 so far - had a 97 ITR).

Eh congrats? It isn't that hot.

What would you consider to be hot in the sports coupe arena (not counting Porsches, Ferraris, Aston Martins, Lambos, etc)?

s2000?

The S2000 is a coupe?

close enough :D

how about the 350z (even though I hate em)

Bah, the 350Z doesn't even come close to touching the old 300ZX in styling...let alone the FD RX-7 :p
