Last studio album was in 1998. Both Paul and Gene are now recording solo albums. KISS also just signed a 5 record deal earlier this year and after the solo albums are out they are going back into the studio to do a new KISS record.

Why did this turn into a KISS v. AC/DC thread? I like em both.....just happen to have been a KISS fan since 1976.

That's funny, I never ever hear them on any rock stations, I hear AC/DC every day on the radio, I wonder why ?

Lack of marketing.....their record company, Mercury, really sucked.....occasionally one of the stations here will play their new stuff. Usually all you head are the older tunes from the 70's and an occasional tune like Lick it Up or Heaven's on Fire from the 80's.

I know this is going to draw me a lot of heat.. but I don't really care.

I look at KISS the same way I look at the Beatles.. They did whatever was popular at the time, neglecting integrity to the music.
To a point it pains me to say that the rolling stones did the same thing. Disco fvcked up everyting!

Well, KISS can open for AC/DC on AC/DC's next tour date, just like they are doing for Aerosmith 😛
 
AC/DC "If you want blood, you got it" is the best live metal album ever.
Every live album they've put out since then has been a weak imitation.

and kiss does suck! 😛
 
AC/DC is good, but they're not heavy enough for me..

My vote goes to a band most of you have probably never heard of ..

Iced Earth - Alive in Athens 3 disc set.

Simply awesome and amazing.
