Currently running Mint 16 on one of my laptops and trying to load some older (just post 2000) games. A search of the Mint forums has shown that Mint can be difficult to game with. Was wondering if any other Linux users can recommend a distro that is "easier" to get Windows games to run on. I am currently investigating both SteamOS and Manjaro but could use some advice.

Thank you.

They're all gonna be about the same. One may be slightly more turnkey than another, but problem titles on one will be problem titles on all. If the game hasn't been ported, you'll probably be hacking around in Wine to get it to work.

I always think best option is dual boot Windows and Linux, that way you will get no compatibility issues with Windows games.

As for best distro for games just stick to the popular distros like Ubuntu based ones,Zorin,Mint,Ubuntu etc..
