I think about upgrading my motherboard and it has a LGA 1551 socket installed. I wanted to know between all the favors of Intel and AMD, which is the best based on of price and performance.

I was going to get the Kaby Lake but the I saw the Cross Lake? which never heard of. Know nothing about AMDs.

I think this is a troll thread, but what do I know.. The other one as well, for the reason you just said. Who buys a CPU because it sounds fast ?
In their defense, I did once buy a motherboard because it said it was a lightsaber.

Talk about false advertising. I showed up to Comic-Con dressed as Darth Vader, and I was promptly laughed out of the building because I had a motherboard.......not a lightsaber. ;)

Short answer: i9 9900KS.

But it depends which chipset you are talking about, is this pre 300 series, such as Z170 or Z270? If so, then the answer is i7 7700k. However, if you have a 300 series board, such as a Z370 or Z390, you would do fine with an i9.
