Best LCD story ever!!!!

So, I was on my nightly routine delivering pizzas for my dad's place and I headed out to the delivery. I knew the person was a good tipper, so I knew I was in for like a $4 tip or so. As I approached I noticed their garage open and the lady cleaning up some garage sale stuff. Out of the corner of my eye I noticed an LCD screen. An HP pavilion f50. So as I handed her the pizza, I asked "is that for sale." She said, well we tried to sell it but we told everyone the collor is a little messed up. I asked, how much do you want for it. She says, consider it an extra tip. I hurried back to the restaurant and got off work, and ran home. To what I expected I plugged it in and the monitor did seems a bit too bright, and there was lots of contrast. I pressed the "Auto Config" button, and zap, the monitor is in perfect condition. Thank you delivery driving!

Nice, but maybe a tad bit dishonest? 🙂
Maybe if they knew it wasn't broken they wouldn't have given it away?

Ah well, it's cool anyway. 8)

The OP wasn't dishonest at all. He just asked if it was for sale.

Either way, it sounds like the sellers were idiots or too lazy to even try to find out the problem. Or, they might have been loaded and simply replaced the "broken" LCD with a newer, bigger one.

i think the latter is far more accurate. that is nice but can you post pics of it? probably comptuer noobs that either didn't care or didn't know how to fix it.

wow that's pretty damn cool  i was a little concerned tihs was one of those referal things, but when i saw no links : i read your story.
