Best LCD for gaming?

Okay, well I know LCD's aren't especially good for gaming. But I'm in serious need of some desk space and a new monitor. Any suggestions on a good LCD for Gaming that is around or less then $2,000.00? I was thinking the SGI 1600SW?

Thanks.
Chris.

I think that some pplz in this forum are really crazy...

My friend, here is a solution that will cost you less than a hundred bucks.

Sam's Club has these very nice folding tables. 30" deep, 8 feet wide. They are a nice slate gray in color, and are very well built. I have three monitors, a scanner, a laser printer, keyboards, mice, and a laptop set up on this table and I have plenty of room. They go for about $74.99.

LCDs are generally not very good for gaming because of the fixed resolution and refresh rate. And, the Silicon Graphics panel you mention requires a proprietary graphics card, I think.
