Best LCD 20" and over with 1600x1200

Been looking around for one for a long time. I bought the Samsung 213T but it was really bad in ghosting. Is there any LCD out there in 20"+ range that does 1600x1200 natively and is suitable for gaming as well? I know there's the Dell one (2000FP) but it's so bloody fugly. I've been looking at the NEC 2080UX panel but I can't find one locally to examine up close and personal. BTW, any stores in Toronto that have a good selection of LCDs on display?

from the front i think the 2000FP looks great but from the back it could look better

still a great monitor IMO

Man that 2000FP is one fugly mofo, yuck.

Persoanally, I've been eyeing the NEC LCD2080UX or one of the new Viewsonic models, either the VP201b which is 20" or the VP211b which is 21.3". All claim a response time of 25ms (Viewsonic told me the VP201b and 211b have 13/12 and 15/10 rise/fall), anyone have any experience with any of these? Any other recommendations?

How can anyone stand 1600x1200 its so fricken small. Not to mention some of the games will even be slow running at that even with your best graphics card!

1024:16 = 60dpi
1600:21 = 76dpi

Not that much of an increase, and anyway, if you're not playing the newest games like HL2 and Doom3, frames at 1600x1200 will be fine if you have an up-to-date video card.

You have no idea obviously...

1600x1200 is THE perfect resolution. Period. (I'd use it on a 17" monitor, and as for it being "small", you realize you can change the DPI setting in windows and everything is "big" again?)

1024x768 is the next 640x480....

1600x1200 is THE perfect resolution. Period. (I'd use it on a 17" monitor, and as for it being "small", you realize you can change the DPI setting in windows and everything is "big" again?)

1024x768 is the next 640x480....

how do you change the dpi settings?

Apart from the merits of 1600x1200 resolution, which one of these monitors would be suitable for general usage AND gaming (not I'd probably still keep my CRT for ultra-fast action games), the NEC LCD2080UX, the Viewsonic VP201b or VP211b?
