Best laptop for <$1k for internet/digital studio?

My friend's lookin for a laptop for internet/sound recording+editing....i dont know much about laptops so I thought I could get some suggestions here...

i was thinking something with a fast CPU and big HDD and decent audio card would be good...maybe an external USB audigy would be good?

if your looking for around the $1k range, i saw this one at best buy that looks like a pretty good deal. instant rebates too. if the video would be a decent ati or nvidia chip, i'd probably get one.
