I'm looking to but my first Athlon XP mobo and would like to get the best one in terms of future compatibility with the upcoming Athlon XP 2800+. Does this mean it can run DDR400 better than 266FSB Athlons? Which Athlons are 333FSB? Is that a siginificant buying criterion in this case? I
I'm looking closely at Abit KD7 RAID, ASUS A7V8X, and Epox 8k5a2+ (which is actually a KT333 mobo--does Epox make a KT400 mobo?)
I saw an XP1600+ AGOIA-Y for $54 shipped at newegg and am wondering if that can/should be used in a KT400 mobo? . I'd really like to know what's a great KT400/processor combination for first time Athlon XP poweruser (switching over from P4) Any opinions and other recommendations are welcomed. Thanks.
