Does anybody know who the author of the joke is? I never bothered to read this entire thread, so I don't know if it has already been answered.

And I kinda want this story in t-shirt form. Would be funny to have "funniest joke ever" on front, entire joke on back.
Well, actually it would be annoying, since people might try to read the whole thing, but it would be a good funny gift for a friend.

I agree, and it's funny because of the enormous story that sets up a cheesy punchline. It's pure genius :^)
