Best ISP in LA?

Hey guys, I'm moving to LA soon and wanna know which ISPs are the best for a nice fast connection - what are my options?

P.S. Related question: what's the highest res webcam video you can do over say regular cable?
 
LA as in california or Louisiana?

My brother started Shreve.Net which was recently acquired by one of the big IP's. They were considered the best privately-owned ISP in the TX-AR-LA area.

It's more though of what connection speed you are going to get and what your upload bandwidth is.
 
I have FiOS. I'm usually @ 1-1.5 mb/s on torrent downloads. But I cap my uploads also. On the worthless speedtests I get 25mb/s download. Still 1-1.5 is faster than anything that I've had before (cable&dsl)
