You can see about 10 headlines and get a one sentence description of what's going on. gives you a general idea of what's going on in the world w/o having to read an entire article.

Only since I started using Firebird though. Before that my internet connection program used to reset the IE startpage to its own homepage :(

about:blank with the google toolbar is the best way to go IMHO. Easy searching and one button news, it has it all.

I used to use google, but that was kind of dumb since I have the Google Toolbar. So I just made my own web page with the site I visit most frequently (I've never been a huge fan of bookmarks... I don't use them for my favorite sites). That way I can get rid of the links toolbar, and I can have a much bigger list of sites.

You did choose the "No Spyware" option on that toolbar, right?

Otherwise, Google is not your friend - in fact, it's sleeping with your sister right now. :p
