Best Horror Villain Ever

What actually creeped me out the most is when the baby came back to life in Pet Cemetery and started being evil.

GOD BLESS TCM! I love leatherface, he's the man...(retarded), yet still the man! No one can dance with a chainsaw like him.

What they did to him in the remake was just plain wrong. I got so mad in the theater that I stood up and yelled and the people in the theater threw popcorn at me.

None of the ones on that list really stand out for me. I think it's tied between Pinhead, Jason and Freddy. The others are pretty good too. Though if you could consider it horror, I'd say Gabriel from The Prophecy. Christopher Walken makes the best Villains.

There should be a thread to discuss the best Villain ever. (Type irrespective) My nomination would go to John Glover as The Devil, in Brimstone.

IT?
Oooo, a little off, but you're onto a good thread there. Tim Curry is definitely on par with Christopher Walken for excellent Villain-age. Maybe even better. I mean with Christopher Walken you kind of want to identify with the guy. (Actually, in most cases you want to be the guy) But Tim Curry is just so evil... it's great.

OP: it's spelled V-I-L-L-A-I-N. 😉

Pennywise was awesome. They did a decent job making him in the mini-series too.
i watched 'it' as a kid. i was exactly like bart in that simpsons episode after watching it alone in pitch-black until 3am in the morning... "cant sleep, clown will eat me"

Put Hannibal Lecter on there and I may vote.

Edit: Of the ones up there so far, I'd have to say Pinhead. He's the only one with any real intelligence behind what he's doing. The others (possibly not Chucky) just work on too emotional and simple a level. I always found the choice to be evil, knowing full well what that is one is doing, far scarier.

Ummm..the Texas Chainsaw massacre never happened...how could it be real?

I would say Christopher Walken can be creepy, nit so much evil.
Tim Curry was good in IT, he is quite the actor.

The vampire from Salem's Lot "Barlow" (the original with David Soul) scared the sh!t right out of me when i was younger, I had read the book then saw the movie and for some damn reason my minds idea of him was similar to the tv...i got all freaked out....

Pinhead may be one evil SOB that cant be matched at times, but thats the whole "hell spawn" angle, the sado part makes a lot of people cringe and nervous to say the least.

The Dr. from reanimator was damn funny if you ask me, not evil, and what about James Earl Jones in Conan the Barbarian..now he was evil..he could turn into a giant snake..i mean cmon! 🙂
Of course I cant watch a Verizon commerical now without hollering at the tv saying "turn into a snake! Do it now snake boy!"

hehehehehe
