you know what I mean? one of those discs that has a bunch of stuff on it to make sure the surround sound is being correctly reproduced and the colors are accurate on the tv
 
Avia but Video Essentials now has a new version out that supposedly remedies the older versions drawbacks.
 
Digital Video Essentials is quite comprehensive. AVIA was more or less the defacto standard for calibration discs, but DVE certainly rivals it on many levels, especially price.
