Best heatsink/fan for K8N NEO2 Platinum?

I'm using the stock A64 3500+ (Winchester) heatsink and fan. My idle temp is around 47C. I've been told this is high. What do you guys think?

I'm now considering removing the stock heatsink/fan and using AS5 or just replacing the Heatsink fan with something better.

I was looking at the Zalman CNPS7000 series but I think it would hit my video card and/or my memory. Anyone know this for sure?

Thanks,

Run Prime95 for about 30min to get a loaded temperature. Idle temps are not very significant. So long as you are under 60C or so you are fine. Actually, the AMD spec is higher than this if I'm not mistaken but 60C seems like a reasonable expectation.

The Zalman is nice, mostly from a sound standpoint. I installed one and was surprised at how much quieter it is compared to the stock cooler.

The absolute best performance wise would be the xp-90, but the zalman cooler is good, and the stock HSF is also fine for OCing...it is what i plan on using to OC the 3000 i will eventually get 🙂.

Zalman 7000 run good and is quiet. But you can't use a Zalman HP or Giant VGA cooler with it installed.
