Best HD capture card?

Wondering which one is good for capturing to .TS (read: no encryption). I hear the HiPix card is good. Any recommendations?

I'd be curious to hear about this myself. Of course, I probably won't be getting one until next year.

I can't remember where I saw it, but someone just sent me a link on this the other day saying that it had been overturned.

Only in the sense that the FCC couldn't enact it. Media industry players will try to push it through Congress now.

That's a little big tougher of a fight though, and who knows how long it could take. This at least buys some time.

Over The Air. IE: You putting up a big antenna or rabbit ears and hooking that up to your TV.

If I were a card manufacturer, I would make a card that was easy to mod to bypass the broadcast flag. Guaranteed major sales from modders.

No comment. :p

Nah, I was just reconfiguring it for the signals here in San Antonio.

(That, and it was being stubborn about not detecting one of the QAM channels - or subchannels actually - so I had to add it manually in the text channel list :p)

They tried that already which is why they did the end run around through the FCC. I'm sure they'll take another shot at Congress but it won't be easy.
