its good but they have a good deal at newegg.com for an IBM 40 gig/7200rpm for 107 or something. IBM has never let me down or anybody else from what i hear. Its super quite and fast.
Well, its not the fastest or biggest hard drive around but it would probably get hte job done. Personally though, Ive had bad experience with maxtor drives and wouldnt recommend them. Especially since you can get drives from IBM or Western Digital that are just as fast (or faster) that come even bigger for generally the same price or less
