Best guns to use in CS for a newbie?

I just started playing counterstrike and I really suck. I was wondering which guns are good for newbies?

Colt M4A1 if you're a CT, and MP5 if you're a T. Aim as best you can for the chest/head area with either and your target should be dead quickly.

For N00bs, start out with MP5. Its a pretty easy gun to use, and you dont have to worry about pulsing as much as the AK/Colt. Also, if you use the Colt, it is supposedly more accurate (I have found this to be true) with the silencer on, but less powerful.

Also, try to get good with the Desert Eagle. The DE is a really good gun once it is mastered and having it has a secondary weapin, you will own.

And dont forget to JUMP !!!!

i prefer usp to DE...
try tmp or mac10, one of few guns you could use effectively without tapping.

the key is don't hold the fire down. Short bursts or single shots work best.

The Autoshotgun is deadly at close range, and the good thing for newbies is, you don't have to aim too hard to hit. Just shoot at anything that moves. At medium or long range, however, that's a different story.

I think newbies should stick to Sig or Steyr's, because of the scope. Or they could use Para's so everyone knows that they are a newbie quick and puts them out of their misery.

I'd say the MP5. Guns good to begin with, but if you can get really good with it then you can work with almost any gun 🙂 Dont go fully auto with it though cause your accuracy will go to hell

Guns for newbies:
MP5

That's 'bout it. Once you learn to master that gun, you move onto the regular guns that everyone uses:
MP5
AK47
M4 Colt Carbine
SIG rifle
AUG rifle

Most of the game revolves around using those rifles, but I prefer to use:
P90
M3
XM1104 (auto shotty)
Para

These guns aren't used as heavily as the rifles, but can be very effective in the right hands. You'll be seeing plenty of AWM/AWPs on servers, but don't try to snipe early on -- you'll just end up sniped.

My favorite gun by far is the AK47. Its power is unmatched for its price (except DE) and is quite accurate in a few short bursts. There is nothing like AK sniping from the roof of cs_militia.

MP5, it is an excellent weapon to learn with.

Besides the facts:
1. The mp5 can be purchased regardless of team.(limited maps where this isn't the case)
2. Low cost, so you can buy one just about every round.
3. mp5 spray has an excellent head-shot capability.
4. easier for me to shoot you and your wimpy mp5. lol j/k

There newbies not blind
(well unless they are blind which I have been accused of being many many times).
They don't really need a scope it atually makes it harder because theyll probobly play with the sig zoomed in the whole time which means less periferal vision.

Mp5 and learn not to panic and hold the trigger down. Use short bursts of 3-4 rounds, regain aim in between bursts. I usually fire two short bursts followed by a long one.

I thought use used MP5 in auto or is that wrong.
My instinct with the MP5 is to aim at the body, but I know I should be aiming for the head so im trying to train myself for headshots.

The really could players just hit with there first 2 mp5 shots on the head so they can kill very fast

ever killed an entire team with para? i once killed 5 people with one clip, all of them shooting at me too (not a sneak attack from behind their backs) 😀

Yes. =) Entire team of 8 people. It was on de_dust2, I was a CT, ran up the hill, made a right and had an HE bomb in my hand. Tossed it toward the double doors with the large and started to spray! Then I saw a whole bunch of T's come out and just held down fire, running right into them. I took out 6 initially and cleaned up the other two pretty quickly.

I've taken out 8 people (of 10) with the AWP while guarding the bomb site on de_dust. It wasn't easy, but all 8 people were quite pissed afterwards.

Start out with the MP5

Then move on the tha AK47. This is the best gun IMO. You just have to remember to fire it in three round bursts. I once took out 10 guys with the AK in one round (the whole opposite team. This was after they had killed the rest of my team), it is so powerful once you get good with it.

MP5 is the weapon to learn with.

I like the Terror's Commando over the Steyr Aug. I took out 4 guys once in dust b/c they didn't watch their flank and I went downtown on them: full auto, 1 clip, 4 down! That learned them real quick.

As for a secondary, the Deagle is the one to master. Very slow in rps and rounds per clip but it's backed with a .50 calibre slug that puts the stopping power on everyone.

If you like to camp (w/c'll make you the enemy of everyone in the opposing team), the AWM for range comboed with a Deagle for those close encounters is a deadly combination.

i believe you should begin with a Desert Eagle (1,3). it'll teach you to keep your crosshairs on your target at all times. after that, pick up an mp5, master that, then rifles. i wouldn't get into the ak47 thing until later on though.
