I have a Circuit City, Office Max, Staples, Wal-Mart, Target, and Costco nearby. I need to pick up a GPS receiver today for a trip. I need something with a decent size screen, TTS, and a good set of POI (mostly for food, gas, shopping, and entertainment).

You did not specify a price range but if you are not looking for bluetooth and mp3 the Garmin Nuvi 200W gets my vote for $230 at Circuit City (sale price) ~$250 at Walmart. It has the larger 4.3" screen, 5-6M POI, and everyone says you do not need to read the manual to use.

Should have asked yesterday. Walmart had a one day special on the nuvi 200w for $178. Of course, it was yesterday.

They had the 200w or the 200 for $178?

If that was the "w" I have never seen a price that low but of course Walmart has more buying power than anyone else and since it was only a 1 day sale they can do that figuring some people will buy other stuff while they are there.

Oddly enough Circuit City is selling the 200 & 200w for the same price ($230).

Don't get the Magellan 3100. I really like this unit, but it really lacks in POI's.

200W doesn't have TTS for street names.
