It takes that long with the broken search to just find out if they were the first one to post the item. 😉

If you go down the street you can see the action shots and at one point one of the dudes is laying on the ground lol.

I.... THINK... that those spots are artifacts from picture-merging and are in fact rain droplets on the camera bubble dome thing on top of the van?

When you do look up, it looks like the UFOs are behind the powerlines, which would make my explanation invalid - but you do see some really weird computer decisions when merging issues. (I do a fair amount of photo-merging combining multiple stacks of images taken through a microscope, and there have been times when Z-plane artifacts like this are incorporated, like if the droplet wasn't there for one shot but was for another shot, then the two got merged. Just a /guess though.

Man, that was really awesome to look up and see those, though. A real "WTF" moment, especially on the randomly funny pictures of the LARPers... haha

duh, it's just funny to pretend.

I'm not sure if this is the street but there was a street that was scheduled for Google streetview images to be taken and some people found out and decided to do some crazy things on the street so they would be in the pics. There was a marching band, a mad scientist with a laser and something else. I think it is this street in this pic.
Edit - Yup, this is the street, keep going West down Sampsonia way and you'll see a bunch of things...

I'd like some maps.google.com URLs for that please. This should be the challenge of the day.

I wonder if Google ever stages pictures like this?

Probably not, but if someone saw the van coming or knew it was in the neighborhood you could start fucking around.

Wow I am really impressed with all that. Definitely goes with the fact that the Mattress Factory is right down the street (one of the weirdest art museums you'd ever see).
