best genesis games?

so during lunch yesterday I went to the mall across the street and found some pretty cool games for the genesis I found in the basement. Madden 94 is still sweet, as is NHL 94. Any other good games out there for the old systems?
 
What kind of games we're talking about here? I was into role playing/strategy games... so my vote goes out for Warsong, d&d (forgot what the exact title was), and a couple of others I can't remember off the top of my head... but my favorite was Warsong.

I'll second NHL '94, but we always played the '93 version, which was the same game, but called something different, IIRC.

There was also this great tennis game that I can't remember the name of, but it was a championship game and it had the USTA license. Something like Grand Slam Tennis or something like that. I don't really recall - it's been so many years.

Then there's all the Sonic the Hedgehog games... 😀

That has to have been one of the worst ports from Arcade to console.
EVAR.

I got that on the Sega Smash Pack for DC. My bro and I LOVED Golden Axe in the arcade. We were sorely disappointed at just how bad the Genesis port was.

NBA Jam, Fifa International Soccer(first from the Fifa series), NBA Live 95 (I found out a dunking-contest by myself! Press Turbo(A) and the Start button at the same time(during the game), all others will stop and you can't go out of bounds, you can dunk as long as you want 🙂 and Madden 94 of course, Walter Payton (classic team from the Bears, #34) was sooooo fast.

Sword of Vermillion, I liked it enough to finish it.

Damn you, these were the three I was going to say! 😀 A couple of years ago, I paid $15 for TJ&E at a used game store --- well worth it.

Another honorable mention would be Streets of Rage. 😀

Last year at a flea market, I found a deck, 4 controllers, and 20 games, including TJ&E, Populous, and a bunch of sports games. $20 for the whole load!

I remember my brother and me used to play a Genesis bomberman game a lot. I think it was called Mega Bomberman. 🙂
 
skitchin' one of the strangest concepts ever to be in a video game. You're on rollerblades, and you're racing across the city on its highways, and your main method of propulsion is to grab onto cars. There are other competitors as well, and if you latch on to the same car with them, you've got to beat them off with a bat or chain. There are cops that try to catch you skitching, and you can easily get hit by a car and go flying off the screen. 😀
