best gaming mouse

i'm looking for a good gaming mouse with windows xp x64 support. i've been using the logitech mx510 on windows xp 32-bit and i really like it but there isn't good support for the mx510 and mx518 in x64. i dont want to use a wireless mouse.
 
how is support for 64 bit going to improve a mouse?

look around drivers for the mx510.

also, what do you mean when you say it is not good? just adjust the settings to whatever you feel comfortable with

i have the 510 and consider it to be the best gaming mouse. the mx518 is not worth the extra money
 
have you searched logitech for answers? i'm sure they are still supporting this mouse. if you have the latest drivers, i'm not even sure when they were released, then contact logitech or search the site for help.

oops, i don't think logitech has those drivers yet.

i think your best bet is to email Logitech or talk to them on the phone.
 
i've checked, there's even a thread in planetamd64, there's issues with the x64 setpoint drivers and the mx510 mouse. i can't actually test this myself because i dont have x64 yet, just trying to plan ahead. does anybody else have recommendations for other nice gaming mice?
