Best Gaming mouse for me?

Are there any way of comparing diff gaming mice objectively?? Theres one benchmark back in 2007, are there any more like those?

I have a A4Tech X7 mouse that is just a FANTASTIC mouse. I can't believe how overlooked it is.

It's wired, but has a pretty supple cord (the last generation had a more supple cord, which never broke on me). I also change resolution on the fly. It started when going from flying jets to sniping in BF2. Now I adjust for going from tanks to infantry/recon in BFBC2.

Perhaps the best thing about this mouse is it's price. Around $30 and I'd put it up against mice that cost 2-3 times that price. It really is that good.

I like my G9x, the larger handgrip seems like it was molded to my hand. I also like the switchable action of the scroll wheel, although I don't use it a whole lot.

Just ordered another Microsoft WMO, last one broke 🙁. I've still got a set of hyper glides left and the mouse is just 10 eur. With the hyper glides, and with a 500hz refresh rate (modded), it's an awesome gaming mouse as it's very light and will glide extremely well on my Zowie G-TF (yeah, my mouse pad costs over twice as much as the mouse itself).

I've been using the Logitech Mx500 pretty much since it came out. Recently the scroll on the mouse wheel is very intermittent but other then that it works fine.

But it is showing signs of degradation so I'm also interested in a new mouse. I was looking at the Razer Imperator 2012 as it looks very similar to the Logitech Mx500 but with all the problems people have with razer it makes me wonder if it's worth getting.

Any one have any ideas?

Here's a vid of the mouse:

Haha I read your pre-edit in the e-mail I received. I agree with the game setting sensitivity lower or higher (or even introducing instability) for a realism factor. I do not however agree with lowering the accuracy of the mouse. Why buy a 5000DPI+ mouse and then lower it arbitrarily or each time the game decides to lower your sensitivity?

Because sometimes you want slower cursor movement. Like if I'm trying to do precision stuff in Photoshop or a vector program, I lower the DPI
