My top choices are the G403 and the G502 because they have the PMW3366 sensor from pixart, but i dont know if the other mice have it which is supposed to be the best. The idea is to find a good value. Steelseries MMO mouse seems solid too. I usually play RTS, RPGs and CSGO . What would you recommend me?

Deadly depends on what you like...

I really like the G402, it's comparatively light, big enough, with an easy to activate "sniper" button (temporary DPI changing button). I can use it all day with next to no fatigue, contrary to my G302 & G903.

(Yeah I have a thing for Logitech mice apparently)

I have about 10 different mice and I still haven't found the perfect one for me. I've actually considered trying to build my own by taking the best parts from different mice.

I have large hands and this is one of the most comfortable mice I've ever used but the buttons are absolute garbage.

I need to find a good mouse as well. I usually buy cheaper mice ($20-$30), but always end up replacing them when they start doing the double-click or no click - usually the left mouse button. I'm getting a little tired of replacing them after 3 months or so. I had an EVGA Torx that lasted about a year, just plugged in the G502. I need a good backup for ~100 or less.

I don't know much about the mid to high end. I haven't seen anything on longevity. Are there any good review sites out there?

I've been using a Logitech MX518 for years and I love it. It's the perfect mouse - perfect size, perfect number of buttons, perfect weight, perfect clickiness, perfect styling. I wish I bought two of them when they were still available, but my experience with mice is they generally don't need to be replaced until you feel the need to upgrade.

The G502 looks to be the successor to the MX518. I'd suggest giving that a try if you like Logitech. Seems too "edgy" for me - I don't know why gaming peripherals always have to have sharp and dramatic corners and lights (which get covered up by your hand anyways).

Logitech or Zowie. The new Zowie EC1-B and EC2-B use the 3360 sensor also. What I particularly like about Zowie is the driverless design.

in the last few years, the definition of good mouse has expanded enormously. from the years where sensors would spaz out when you moved them too fast, and angle snapping, acceleration, and general shittiness, to dozens of near-perfect mice.

this guy is a longtime Q3A player and he knows what he's talking about. His videos are a bit long winded but he will give you a real description of what it's like to live with that mouse.

the reason is that these days, perfect or near-perfect sensors are the norm. We are no looking more at shell build quality, additional features, size / weight / shape.

TLDR : Razer DA, Logitech 403 or Zowie (any).

Good link, but I don't see why anything below "excellent" sensor should necessarily be ignored. There are lots of good mice with the 3310 sensor and great shapes in that list, including the mice in 3rd place on the list. That's still an excellent sensor by most standards even though it's rated "very good".

i love Logitech G903 as gaming mouse. Mainly I love its wireless charging feature. it is highly unique. it's electrifying pad is superb and that's the main thing i love.

Steel Series 600 just came out and supposed to be awesome. Right now I'm using logitech g502 and its really great. No complaints at all. For a less expensive mouse, the logitech g203 is supposed to be the same mouse as the G Pro and is ~$27 on amazon right now. Looks like a great choice.

The seller said he went for a zowie that he had to get from overseas, and that this g403 was barely used for a month, it seems in good shape so i trust him. Lets hope it wont have any issues and wont need to contact logitech support. What DPI would you recommend to set it to? when i had deathadder i had to use specific DPI settings because they were the more "stable" ones so to speak, but regarding this new generation sensor idk if that applies too.

About my older DA mouse, do you think there is still a way to repair it?

Ive looked around and i cant get a straight answer, it seems that for the g403 any setting at 2000 dpi or lower is ok and apparently "it does not have native dpi" if thats even possible.

It could certainly be fixed. Replace the flat cable with a flat ribbon cable, but you do need some soldering skills.

I primarily use a mouse with the fingertip grip. It gives me rapid precise control. On a whim I decided to try out a Logitech G Pro mouse. This is based on the smaller/cheaper G102/G203 and includes the higher end PMW3366 sensor. It's just the right size for me. The control and accuracy is excellent. It was on sale for $49. Sometimes the best mouse for someone isn't necessarily the fanciest or most expensive.

Gotta agree with this. I finally took the plunge and swapped my G500 to a 502 Spectrum and I love it.

From experience, the more expensive mice either come with additional buttons (MMO mice) or just have different looks and styles.
