Best Gaming Laptop for the Money

Basically I've got a friend who wants a good gaming laptop, where portability isn't too important... The budget: a slightly flexible $1700... I'm a desktop builder... and don't have too much experience here.

Any suggestions off hand?

I think I'd definitely have to agree there. I'd like to pick one up for myself if it wasn't so heavy.

If you want a name brand like Dell, then the 9300 is a good way to go, especially with all the coupons that are generally floating around. Otherwise, check out some of the configurations at Discount Laptops. They have Sager, Acer, Asus, etc.

They have excellent Reseller ratings too.

Check out www.abspc.com. I bought my desktop from them 4 years ago only problem has been a dead power supply a few months ago.

They are a reliable company. PC World(?) usually has reviews of their stuff.
