dreamcast... and i've owned my share of systems (have xbox currently)... dreamcast is still my fave, for graphics power vs. price, and the range of great and interesting games... i like my xbox no doubt (got its share of greatness) but dreamcast is still my classic

The original NES is my absolute favorite. Anybody know any good emulators for NES for Win2k? Also where to get games? I've heard of emulators, but i've never used them before. Thanks.

My favorites would have to be (in no particular order):

Nintendo Gamecube
Sega Dreamcast
Sega Genesis
Super Nintendo
Nintendo

Alright..maybe they are in an order... recency...:D

One of my favorite NES emulators is NESten. Very good..unless you happen to have a Radeon 8500 like me:) I'm still searching for one that works properly with my video card...wish me luck!

As far as ROMs themselves go, I am not sure of any place in particular that is good for finding these..(I got most of mine from friends  ) A good place to start is probably at Google..Google desperate search!!

EDIT: providing emulation advice!!:)

I keep a Turbo Grafx 16 and a turbo express around just so I can still play military madness, parasol stars, and devil's crush.

we have a turbo-duo, turbo grafx 16, two original NES's, dreamcast, couple gameboys, sega genesis (round body style), and i think that's it. Turbo Grafx is the best, but when i actually play a game system, it'll probably be DC.

"What's in your closet?"TM

NES, SNES, TG-16, Panasonic 3DO (incomplete), Intellivision II, and a PS2. and of course, we don't play with any of them. Sigh.

Dreamcast is the best period. I have never bought so many games on any other system.

After Dreamcast would be (in order):
Genisis
Super Famicon
Saturn
Neo Geo AES
NGPC
GBA
MSX
Xbox
PS2
Game Cube

Of course the dreamcast can play NES, SMS, MSX, Genisis, SuperNES, Neo Geo Pocket, and almost any other old school game I used to love. :) I still own my NES and Genisis BTW, but I play most of them emu on Dreamcast because the cartridges are so dirty.

Bah! Anyone who thinks they're old because they play NES obviously missed out. Atari 2600, Colecovision, Commadore 64, TI 99/4A, all of those are old school consoles. Your just a new school Nintendo fanboy. ;)

SNES - Super Metroid was the greatest game ever created :D (well right behind starcraft :) )

then Genesis or PSX

I wouldn't classify the TI 99/4A as a console, but damn was it ever fun. Blasto, Parsec, Munchman, etc. And you could save to a cassette if you had the cable and a tape recorder with remote jack. Very good memories indeed.

ooOOoo...and who could forget Philips CD-I (compact disc interactive). I think it was one of the first CD-based game system using an IR remote as a controller (later models had an accessory port for corded controllers).

We still have one that we use as a CD player collecting dust.

i'm guessing the people who pick dreamcast is cos it didn't cos them very much to attain the library of games they have......anyways, i think snes was the greatest console ever....the gameplay and quality of the games was amazing and at it's peak...it's been downhill since

I have used and played most every console game system since the 1967 magnovox oddysy. none of them , from sony, nintendo, sega, coleco, atari, etc. can compare to the absolute quality and performance of Microsoft X box. Anyone who does not have that at the top of their list has their heads up their butt. Hows the view?;)

Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Playstation 2, PS One, PSX, Turbo Grafx 16 + CD, N64, Atari 5600, Coleco Vision, 2 Dreamcasts, Game Boy Advance, Game Boy, Genesis,

Super Nintendo was the best system of its time, However Dreamcast probably is the best gaming console yet.
