I just played this game for the first time in a couple years last night and i got really into it. There are still a lot of players on battle.net so if you have this game lying around, play it again. It is still my favorite game ever. Anyone agree or disagree with my statements?

Completely disagree. While Starcraft is still hot, I think only an RPG can qualify for best game of all time, and that game is... wait for it...

I still remember the first time I watched the first cut scene for Starcraft.

I knew my life was about to change...

Warcraft 3 is not as good as sc. Just because its new and SC is 7 years old means nothing. The age or minimum system requirements should never take away from a game. SC is better than WC3 by a long shot. WC3 will never be as good as SC...Its too busy and crowded and not as fun...

I disagree. It is a very good game but I think Donkey Kong is the best game ever.

Fallout series. Who cares about the lack of multiplayer mode! The story and gameplay was just so good and immersive... *spurt*

Well.... I look at it like this. A true measure of how great a game is is directly proportional to how long it stays on the game store shelves. Most game titles only last 6 months if that before all remaining copies wind up in the $20 bin and is never seen again. Then there are titles that completely transcend the normal shelf life of a video game. Titles like StarCraft and Half-Life. These games were revolutionary and can still be found on store shelves an astounding 7 years after their initial release. I for one love StarCraft.

M.U.L.E.

Though about 95% of you people here are a generation too young to have any idea what it was...

please explain to me how either of these games were revolutionary. sure they were one of the best types for their genre, but i would never consider them revolutionary by any means.

SC is not the best game ever....there are a lot of good games out there and I think it's impossible to pick a "best game ever"

I can agree with Duke 3d as well. Me and my friend used to stay up everynight to play it over our modems. Oh man good times!

I remember this one map where there was this compartment in which I would hide in. I'd setup my holoduke across the room and my friend would use his jetpack to slowly rise up and start shooting away at the holo-duke. I'd then blow him away with my RPG.
Next time, I'd reverse it and put the holo-duke in the compartment and stand out in plain sight. Of course he'd start shooting up the holo-duke
