Jedi Outcast>>>>Jedi Academy IMO.
I also liked Star Trek Elite Force quite a lot back when it was released.

also, i don't think you can say "Star Wars" because all the games are spin-offs of the movies, except the lego ones. That's not fair. Let's talk straight 1:1 here folks.

That seems like an extreme limiter. Using this rule, the only example I can think of that I've ever liked is Goldeneye. Games that follow the movie verbatim almost always suck. Branching out to include the broader universe lets you throw in some Star Wars games or Shadows of Mordor or Alien Isolation, etc.

I'll have to mention RARE's GoldenEye 007 for the N64, before people outrageously forget about it.

The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay

I wish this came back onto Steam since it was pulled a while back, I never got around to buying it because of the nonsense Tages DRM, not to mention it also had both games sold in a deluxe pack.

Anyways I think the Batman Arkham games were really well done.

Riddick EFBB is excellent. I don't think the original game had that DRM, only that remake version (which reportedly adds very little).

The Lego movie game is also great, and easily the best of that series.

Do you mean from movie to game, or game to movie?

Movie to game, yeah Riddick is probably the best I've played.

Dune was good as well though. Although I'm not sure if it was more inspired by the David Lynch film or the actual book series.

Blade Runner was not the best, but is worth mentioning I think. It too heavily relied on the same character archetypes and plot points of the movie, rather than creating it's own story within the universe. it did it well enough though, and the new things it did bring to the table were interesting, so a solid game overall.

I am waiting for a Bioshock film, my wife doesn't share much interest in my gaming but shes seen me play Bioshock and she agrees how a movie would work.

There is a fan made short film on youtube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5hKntQc76U when you watch this you just know a huge production movie would just be incredible.
